Pattaya Quiz League Standings
General Information The Pattaya Quiz League is held on a Monday and Wednesday night throughout the year. The games are conducted on a home and away basis. The Monday league consists of 10 teams with Wednesday fielding up to 12 teams. All the teams play for bars and restaurants in the Pattaya area.
Scoring for the Monday league is on a grand prix basis. The Monday quiz consists of 50 questions divided into seven categories for which two points are awarded for each correct answer. The team with the highest score out of a possible 100 is awarded 12 points. The next best receives 10 points, third garners eight and then the points go progressively down from seven to one (obviously for the team that answers the least number of questions correctly).
The Wednesday league has 48 questions divided into six categories with a further 24 points from a picture round that usually is made up of 12 photos, maps or diagrams. Three points are awarded to the winning team, two points for a draw and one point for a loss.
Everybody is welcome to play for any team at any time. Games usually start at about 8:30 pm and are generally completed within two hours.
