Business owners in Pattaya are being encouraged to participate in the Pattaya Grand Sale project during the low season from June to October to help boost local tourism.

President of Pattaya Business and Tourism Association Jamroon Vitsavachaipan said, "We have been discussing the ways we can help to improve tourism and the economy in Pattaya. This is why we came up with the Pattaya Grand Sale project where we are encouraging owners of hotels, restaurants and tourist destinations to come up with affordable promotional packages or discount packages. We want to focus on attracting tourists who are already living in Thailand, both Thais and foreigners."

Mr. Nitti Krongkrut, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Office added, "The Pattaya Grand Sale project will be finalized by the end of June. We have received a budget of 10 million baht to host the event. The project will consist of weekend getaway packages from hotels, specials offers at restaurants and discounted admissions to tourist attractions throughout Pattaya."
