Pattaya ‘Shop On the Beach’

The event was organized to help business owners generate revenue that they have lost during the political crisis in Bangkok.

The two-day event received amazing feedback as both locals and tourists all went home with smiles on their faces and a truck load of bangs in their hands.

Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome said, "Pattaya ‘Shop on the Beach’ event was held with the aim of helping store owners whose shops were shut down due to the political event in Bangkok. Bangkok held a similar shopping event on Chidlom and it was a success so I decided to have a similar event in Pattaya which was not a disappointment."

The event consisted of 700 booths from Bangkok and 120 local booths. The booths offered all kinds of products from clothes, accessories, souvenirs, traditional Thai products, food and drinks.

There were also live concerts from Thai celebrities as well as fun rides from overseas.
