The 'Say No to Violence Against Women' parade on Beach Road will probably feature cars rather than pushbikes.

A parade will take place along Beach Road in Pattaya on Thursday June 17 to support the ‘Say No to Violence Against Women’ campaign promoted by Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha. The parade has been organized by the Pattaya Office of the Department of Peoples’ Rights Protection and Legal Aid and has the support of City Hall.

It is expected the parade will be attended by city officials as well as students from all 10 local government-run schools.

‘Say No to Violence Against Women’ is a global call for action, launched in November 2009, and aimed at ending violence against women and girls. It is presented by the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) as a contribution to advance the objectives of United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon’s campaign to end violence against women through social mobilization. The UNIFEM Goodwill Ambassador of Thailand is Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha.
