International Comedians Entertain Pattaya

The Punchline Comedy Club led by British comedian Mike Gunn along with novelist Mark Billingham and Chortle Award-winner Carl Donnelly were at the newly opened "Tavern" in the Amari Orchid to entertain the packed audience.

Headliner Mike Gunn has performed in Holland, Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia, as well as a five-week season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia. The comedian has also written for the Guardian, Time Out and Match of the Day magazine.

Carl Donnelly who hails from London, was awarded the gongs for Best Newcomer at the 2009 Edinburgh Comedy Awards and the Best Breakthrough Act at the 2009 Chortle Awards. His work has been praised by the likes of the Leicester Mercury, Fest, Broadway Baby and the Guardian.

Mark Billingham is an internationally-recognized crime fiction writer from north London and his 2001 novel Sleepyhead became a bestseller in the UK. He is formerly a television writer and actor and still occasionally performs as a stand-up comic.
