Beauties Battle to be Miss Tiffany Universe

Beautiful transvestite Nalada Thamthanakhorn ‘Mik’, 19, was recently announced the winner of the 13th Miss Tiffany Universe competition held at the Tiffany Theater Pattaya.

Miss Tiffany Universe is the biggest transvestite competition in Thailand where beauties from all across the country gather to compete for the coveted title. This year, the Miss Tiffany Universe was held under the theme ‘I Am What I Am’ in which over 70 contestants entered. The event was broadcast on national television and received international media coverage.

The event was attended by thousands of people including government officials, private company executives and Thai celebrities who were all amazed by the beautiful contestants.

This year’s competition was special because there were so many contestants. There were 28 finalists with the oldest being 25 and the youngest just 18 years old. Over 75% of the contestants are still in school with the majority studying for bachelor degrees in well known universities across Thailand. Despite the fact that they are transvestites, these "women" are well educated and have well paid jobs. One of the contestants works for a major television channel as a TV presenter.

The winners were chosen not on just a one-night process but they had to show off their talents over a five-day long audition.

After the judges made some tough decisions stunning 19 year-old Nalada Thamthanakhorn, also known as ‘Mik’, a student at Bangkok University was announced the winner. Mik also won the Miss Silky Sexy Skin award granted by the Skin Hospital Asok. Mik went home with prize money of 100,000 baht, a brand new Honda Jazz, a diamond trophy,a one-year gift voucher for Woodlands Hotel & Resort Pattaya,a GNET mobile phone and other prizes from Pratunarm Poly Clinic, Bangkok.

The first runner up was Shunya Denfarnphaphon , also known as ‘Beauty’, a 21 year-old student from Dhurakij Pundit University who also won the Miss Unlimited Sexy Star award. ‘Beauty’ also went home with a truck load of gifts which included prize money of 80,000 baht, a diamond trophy, a gift voucher from the Skin Hospital Asok and a GNET mobile phone.

The second runner up was Narmphet Prasobchok or ‘Nadia’, a 21 year-old student from Bangkok University who received a 50,000 baht prize money, a diamond trophy, a gift voucher from the Skin Hospital Asok and a GNET mobile phone.

Other awards were ‘Best Dressed of the Night’ which went to Dudlada Aiempeung or ‘Mae’, ‘Media’s Favorite’ which went to Songsuda Songkritsadakorn or ‘Kaew’, ‘Miss Congeniality’ which was won by Autsajunrakawee Pornhomauksorn or ‘Pia’, ‘Miss Beautiful Skin by Nuris’ was won by Linlapat Pook or ‘Fierce’.
