The golfer of the month will be decided today and it’s between PJ and Mashi with Mashi needing a win to overtake PJ. Well, Mashi couldn’t get out of second gear today and could only manage a nine over par nett 81 leaving PJ, who finished runner up, to win the golfer of the month title for April! Reg Smart finished third with a nett 80 and Peter Habgood had another fine round winning with a two over par score. Well done PJ!

3rd Reg Smart (hcp 24) - nett 80

Near pin winners – Incredibly only one player hit the green on all the par three’s so Roy Dayton took the whole kitty!

Mashi closed the gap on PJ in the golfer of the month comp by taking third place again today, Laurence Harding came runner up and Peter Habgood had the best round of the day winning with 36 Stablefor points.

1st Peter Habgood (hcp 19) - 36 pts

2nd Laurence Harding (hcp 18) - 33 pts

3rd Mashi Kaneta (hcp 10) - 31 pts

Near Pin Winners – Only two people got on the greens today so Peter and Mashi shared the spoils.

With only a couple of games to go for the month of April it’s pretty tight at the top of the table in the race for the golfer of the month title, there’s nothing between Mashi, PJ and Gerry Cooney so the next few games are vital.

Playing a Medal round, Mashi came in third today but PJ went one better finishing second to take the lead, but Dave Dolle had the best round to win today’s comp with a one under par round.
