Families Get Free Eco-Friendly Coffins
Siam Funeral & Repatriations recently donated 50 environmentally-friendly coffins to Pattaya City where unclaimed dead bodies or dead bodies belonging to poor families who could not afford a coffin will be put in.
Mr. Wirot Suriyasaenee, Managing Director of Siam Funeral & Repatriations said, "Siam Funeral & Repatriations is a sister company of Suriya Coffins which is one of the biggest coffin makers in Thailand. We specialize in assisting foreigners. We do everything from the paperwork to sending bodies back to the home countries. To give back to the community we want to donate environmentally friendly coffins made from paper for Pattaya City so that they can use to put unclaimed dead bodies as well as give them to those who are too poor to buy coffins themselves."
"Our eco-friendly coffin is made from cardboard paper recycled from a special technology developed in Japan. We have conducted several tests and the results shows that they are as good as wooden coffins and can absorb water without rotting or decaying. They can hold up to 200 kilograms. When burning they causes less pollution than burning wooden coffins," added Mr. Wirot.
