Labour MP and Mother of Meow Meow Dealer “Dissaproves”
Labour MP and mother of Britain's number 1 Meow Meow dealer had to speak out; last night she admitted "I totally disapprove of him."
Humiliated Louise Ellman spoke out after her son Sean was exposed as a dealer, and is still selling the 'legal high' at his six stores in the north yesterday.
Furious locals who live and work around his stores called for them to be closed - and supported the campaign to make Meow Meow illegal.
Mrs. Ellman, 64, has previously called for "more resources to help people escape addiction".
Yesterday, the red-faced MP said she disapproved of "the trade involving meow meow, legal highs and drugs in general".
She added: "I am on the record speaking out strongly against drugs and will continue to do so. But he's a 37-year-old man and I'm not in a position to interfere with his business."
At her Liverpool city centre constituency office, she added: "He's responsible for his own actions and decisions - and at the moment he's not doing anything illegal.
"Obviously if the government do decide to make this drug illegal, then he must immediately stop selling it."
Meow meow is the chemical mephedrone. A movement has begun to ban it after the deaths of two teenage pals last week in Scunthorpe, Lincs.
Mr. Ellman sells it at his Dr Herman's shops in Liverpool, Warrington, Manchester, Leeds, Chester and St Helens.
Mr. Ellman, who is on holiday in Israel, lives in a ฃ300,000 home in Withington, Gtr Manchester.
