Pattaya to Host Biggest Country Music Singing Competition

The biggest country music singing competition in the Eastern Seaboard is back again in Pattaya to search for  country music singing sensations in which winner will score a record deal to produce an album. The semi fnal round will be held on April 24 at Central Center North Pattaya and the fnal round will be held on May 8 at Central Festival Pattaya Beach.

The 6th Country Music Singing Competition has begun auditions for talented singers of ages 13-25 years old. The purpose of this competition is not only to search for new country music star but to also encourage the younger generation to appreciate Thai music and continue to pass on the beauty of Thai country music from generation to generation.



Ms. Suphansa Yimphanwong, winner of the Country Music Singing Competition held last year entertained the crowd with her marvelous voice singing her favorite country song.

Mr. Boonkiat Wiwatdecha, Managing Director of VC Sports Productions, one of the major sponsors for the event said, “We have received atotal of 107 demos from people who have auditioned for this contest. We will narrow them down to the fnal 30 contestants and then the fnal 12. The 12 fnalists can record their own song which will be aired on Thai FM 104.72. Listeners can vote for their favorite contestant via SMS and the eight contestants with the most votes will move on to the semi fnal round held on April 24. During the semifnal round, contestants can sing any song they choose plus the song they recorded. Five fnalists will be chosen and they will move on to the fnal round which will be held at Central Festival Pattaya Beach.”

The winner of the 6th Country Music Singing Competition will receive 15,000 baht prize money, the frst runner up will receive 10,000 baht and third place will receive 7,000 baht. Fourth place and ‘Favorite Voice’ of the night will also receive 5,000 baht. All of the prizes also come with honorable trophies along with the chance of becoming real country music singing sensation.
