We celebrated the day to thank and praise our country’s’ signature animal. The objective of having a Thai National Elephant Day is to remember what they have done for us in the past. Elephants were used as vehicles in people’s everyday life and even in war. Elephants represent Thailand so we have to protect their natural habitat so that our children and grandchildren will be able to witness their beauty decades from now.”
