Pattaya United is aiming to be one of the top fve teams in this year’s Thai Premier League with the support of new professional players being brought in. Pattaya City is also spending 10 million baht to renovate the football stadium in Nongprue to be able to hold up to 20,000 spectators.



Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome said, “Pattaya United has received  great feedback ever since it was established. There are a growing number of Pattaya United fans who come to watch them play and buy  souvenirs. Because of this, the club has decided to spend 10 million baht to improve the football stadium in Nongprue to be able to hold at least 3,000 more people. Not only that, more lights will also be added so that the stadium meets the Thai Premier League standard.  Next season, the games will be moved to the new Eastern Seaboard National Stadium in Soi Chaiyapuek 2 which will hold more than 20,000 people.”

Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol added, “Pattaya City has spent about 700 million baht to build a national standard sport complex and stadium.

This stadium is where Pattaya United trains. At the moment the frst phase is completed and can hold 5,000 spectators. When it is fully completed, it will be able to hold 20,000 people. This stadium was built according to the Asian Football Club (AFC) standards well equipped with all the necessary facilities.”

Mr. Tawatchai Dumrongongtrakul, Head Coach of Pattaya United said, “We have brought in new talented players to complete this season such as Kengne Takam Ludovick from Cameroon, Theerawekin Srihawong, Anutcha Kitphongsri and Paphiphon Petchwised. These players get along well with the current players so spectators can expect a challenging and fun game. This season we are aiming at being at least in the top fve teams and hopefully to win the Thai FA Cup so that we can continue on to compete in the Asia league."
