Chonburi Provincial Public & Private Sectors Meet the Locals

Mr. Somsak Wongsirivimon, Chonburi Provincial Government Administrative Offcer said, “Not only do we let the local share their ideas, we also give them thousands of useful products to people in need. We gave out 120 pairs of reading glasses, 50 walking sticks as well and also household products. Representatives from the Private sector like the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya and Banglamung Hospital also attended and gave the people free health checkups and gave out food products. There were all together 35 organizations who came to listen and give out free products to people who attended,”

“The purpose of our ‘Meet the Locals’ project is to give our citizens the opportunity to express their opinions and exchange ideas of how we can improve the local community to make their lives better. This time we visited three communities, Banglamung, Nongprue and Hui Yai.” added Mr. Somsak.

Mr. Vittaya Kunplome, Chairman of the Chonburi Provincial Government said, “I strongly support ‘Meet the Locals’ project because we get to hear what the locals want done to their community to make lives better. We focus on female citizens and elderly people as well as the disabled. 

We want these people to have equal opportunity as everyone else.”

The event was led by Mr. Vittaya Kunplome, and Vice Chairman Mr. Raywat Phonlookin was attended by offcers from the Chonburi Provincial Government, representatives of the governmental and private sectors along with local citizens of Nongprue, Banglamung and Hui Yai.
