Police Continue Walking Street Crackdown
The Chonburi Immigration Bureau together with the tourist police are continuing their crackdown on illegal immigrant workers, homeless children and foreigners conducting illegal activities on Walking Street to help improve Pattayas’ image.
“To create safety for our tourists we must strongly enforce our rules and regulations to reduce any illegal and harmful activities. From now on the Chonburi Immigration and the tourist police will now be patrolling Walking Street to put a permanent stop to human traffcking, reduce the risk of foreigners getting taken advantage of and stop foreigners from conducting illegal activities. We would also like to ask all of the club and bar owners on Walking Street to co-operate with us on this issue,” said Superintendent Pol. Col. Athiwit Kamolrat, Commander of Chonburi Immigration during the recent Walking Street Committee meeting.
Pol. Maj. Arun Promphan, Pattaya Tourist Police said, “We have been doing our best to serve and create peace for our tourists every day.
From now we are teaming up with the immigration police to strengthen our service quality and to put a permanent stop to any wrong doings conducted in Pattaya.”
