The peaceful beach of Koh Larn will soon be with more tourists flled with tourists as extra power will soon be supplied to fulfll the increasing demand.

Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol announced, “The underwater cable project is a 300 million baht project which will supply more electricity for not only Koh Larn but also to Koh Srichang. The Provincial Electricity Authority Area 1 is responsible for this project. They have done an amazing job because they have already fnished the project in Koh Srichang allowing more electricity to be supplied and now they are moving on to Koh Larn.

The reason that it has taken a long time for the cable to be installed for Koh Larn is that frst the power supply unit was going to located in front of the Pattaya Park hotel and we have declared that land the be the ‘Green Area’ meaning that we want to converse the natural environment. Therefore, we had to move the power supply unit to a different location which is what caused the delay.”Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol added, “At the moment we are in the process of installing the 400-meter long cable underwater which will later be connected to the main power unit to supply more electricity to Koh Larn. If all goes according to plan the project is going to be fully completed in April.”
