PJ'S Pool Bar Golf Group
After a short stint in French territory the crew from Khao Noi are back at their ancestral home at PJs Malcolm kindly accepted the group back opening early for a discounted breakfast of 20 percent off at 8:00 am with the same 20 percent discount after golf for those choosing to come back. As before presentation is at the venue immediately after golf for those wishing to rush back to their their wives. The association is non-proft departing from PJ’s normally around 8:30 am for 10:00 am tee offs with transport supplied by the golfers cars themselves with a 100 baht fuel charge for those being taxied. Malcolm has also agreed to let all golfers store their clubs at the bar as previously arranged.
We would like to thank Neil Duncan for his help over the last year, and Patrick and Jan at La Piscine for letting us use their place.
Venues for March are about to be announced and hopefully will be at nine differing venues with the price tag of around 1,000 baht including caddy.
Anyone wishing to play can put their name down at the notice board at PJs or turn up at 8:00 am.
This weeks results were on Tuesday at Pleasant Valley 1st John Roddis, 2nd Dehhis Jaycock ,3 rd Curt Svelin all golfers finishing with 38 pts but Roddo having a fantastic back 9 the near pins Rusty,Ian,Clampy and Curt with Clampy also securing the long put.
At The Emerald on Thursday 18th Ian Wheeldon 36 pts 2nd Willy 33 pts 3rd Rob Gangley 33 pts the near pins Rusty, Roger with our guest Andy Gaskin securing 2 near pins the long put and with a 4 over the card Gross by far the best performing golfer on the day Tuesday 23rd was played at Khao Kheow off yellow tees playing course C and A the latter greens being far quicker. The conditions were fne the golf wasnt many of the golfers failing to score well NTP's wenrt to Mats with a couple Ian with one and leroy and Dave Clamp with the longest put again 1st Mats Hansson 36 pts 2nd Dennis Jaycock 35 pts 3rd ian wheeldon 33 pts 4th Rusty Archibald 33 pts 5th Brian Mitchell 32 pts 12 golfers and 1 hockey player turned up for a testing 18 at Bangpra electing to play off the easier white tees than earlier in the month the course still came out on top with the near pins being split between Rusty and Andy and myself sinking his only put of the day on the correct hole.
The results 1st John Roddis 36 2nd Rusty Archibald 34 pts 3 rd Ian Wheeldon 33 pts on a countback from Mats Hansson.
