General Manager David Cumming smiles as a student thanks him for giving her a bicycle she has always wanted.




Amari Orchid Pattaya has been fulflling students’ wishes for the last four years under their ‘Bang Fun Phan Nong’ project. This year being their ffth year, the Amari Orchid Pattaya crew visited the Thung La Harn School located in the less developed area of Hui Yai to give students the presents that they wanted and treated them to delicious food. The students were asked to write down what they wanted and the Amari team gave them exactly that.

The Amari Orchid Pattaya team included General Manager David Cumming, Mr. Dhaninrat Klinhom Director of Public Relations along with the staff who were warmly welcomed by the schools principle Pornpich Apichitphongchai as well as the teachers.  The ‘Bang Fun Phan Nong’ project aims to help students in the less developed areas and those with not much money. Money was raised from sales of custom made teddy bears sold at the Amari Orchid Pattaya. Apart from giving the students General Manager David Cumming smiles as a student thanks him for giving her a bicycle she has always wanted.

Some of the presents that were given out were bicycles, remote control cars, remote control boats, dolls, backpacks and 152 packs of stationery, all valued at over 120,000 baht.

The students couldn’t keep the smiles of their faces especially a frst grade boy Phichitchai Buajun who said, “I am so happy to receive a remote control car. I have wanted one for a very time but could never afford it.”
