CAT Telecom to Invest 600 Million Baht On Newest High Speed Internet

CAT Telecom recently released their new high speed internet service of 100-150 megabites which will be released frst in Pattaya via a fberoptic network. 

Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome said after signing an agreement with Managing Director of CAT Telecom Jirayoot Rungsrithong, “The new ‘Fiber to Home’ high speed internet service is going to expand communications in Pattaya making Pattaya the new IT destination. The high speed internet service will be able to support the demands of the local business and allow these domestic businesses to connect with the international market easier. The high speed internet will also please foreigners who come to Pattaya because now they can communicate with their families in their home country without interference or delays.”

Managing Director of CAT Telecom Jirayoot added, “We received a budget of more than 600 million baht for this new fber-optic high speed internet to be spread out all over Pattaya. We will begin on Pattaya’s Second Road and Sukhumvit Road because that’s where many of the ho-tels and other famous tourist attrac-tions are. This project is expected to be completed within 10 months.” 

“We picked Pattaya as the frst destination to implement the new high speed internet service as Pattaya is the fastest growing area in the Eastern region. The ‘Fiber to Home’ network will soon be available at every household. After Pattaya, we will move on to other locations to expand the service under our 600 million baht budget,” said Mr. Jirayoot.
