Board Members and employees from the Chiang Mai Night Safari recently visited Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya to learn tourism strategies to improve their services.

Chiang Mai Night Safari is planning to expand by opening during the day time. There is no better place to learn than the already successful Nong Nooch Tropical Garden. They learned about the operational procedures of a daytime zoo as well as learned about wild animals and how to take care of them correctly in hopes to be able to step up and be one of the leading wildlife conservation centers.

Staff travelled from Chiang Mai to learn from the successful Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya.

Mr. Kumpol Tunsatja, Director of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden led Mr. Thongchai Wongwaipanich, Senior Director of Chiang Mai Night Safari and his team through the management system of the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden and how they maintain their excellent quality and service. They talked about how to impress tourists, taught the visitors about wildlife conservation and showed how they are involved with reducing global warming.

The visitors also got to witness the animals at the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden as well and all agreed that a highlight of the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is that the animals are approachable and are not afraid of the tourists.

Mr. Thongchai said, “At the moment Chiang Mai Night Safari is opened at night only and we have been doing very well with that. Right now we want to expand our business and open it during the day well. We want to develop our business and make it a day time zoo that is equipped with all the related attractions. We want to support the government’s policy of making tourism a key to the country’s income.”

Tourists are able to mingle with the animals at the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya.

“By offering various types of tourist attractions we will be able to compete with other countries for the tourist dollar and have high standards with in line with other wildlife conservation tourist destinations. Not only that, our children will also have the opportunity to learn about wildlife. Job opportunities will also be created because of our expansion,” added Mr. Thongchai.

Mr. Thongchai is planning on adapting some of the features at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden and applying them to Chiang Mai Night Safari to hopefully draw more tourists and be as successful as us our local attraction.
