Kids Pack Streets of Pattaya During National Children’s Day
Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol said, “Children are the future of the country. They will be one day be the people who develop the society and improve our country. This is why it is important that every child is taught to know what is right and what wrong, to be honest and grateful of themselves as well as others.”
“As for the National Children’s Day, I wish every child good luck. I hope that they will all study hard and be good to their parents,” added Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol.
At the city hall, there were displays of weapons that were a hit to the boys such as tanks and flaks. There were many booths set up by the Pattaya United Football Club, The Sanctuary of Truth, Central Festival Pattaya Beach and many more. Small prizes were also given out.
Tiffany’s Show and Alcazar show was opened for children to come in and watch amazing cabaret show completely free as well as participate in games to win prizes.

Another popular place was the Million Years Stone Park and Pattaya Crocodile Farm that was opened for children and parents to come in free.
Central Festival Pattaya beach was also flooded with kids as they attended the ‘Kids Planet’ which included over 10 booths with various skill building activities. Children enjoyed colouring-in activities,a mini ice skatin ring and a stamp collecting game where they traded stamps for prizes. There were 2010 bags of prizes from Central Festival from Thai celebrities .
As for Central Center North Pattaya, they created a ‘Dinoland’ where kids got the chance to explore the land of dinosaurs. There was also a drawing competition in which the winners received trophies from Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali. The winners were Khun Sirirattanasophin Sridueng from the primary school level, Khun Arnon Boonlert from the secondary school level and Khun Phongsatorn Chalermsub from the general public level. All of the three talented winners also received educational funds.

Parents also got to enjoy the day with their kids during the walk rally and then cooled off by watching the dance show performed by the local students.
Children also brought along their old toys and donated them to Foundation for Children of Thailand.
The National Children’s Day falls on the second Saturday of January which was January 9 this year. The slogan for the National Children’s Day was written by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, ‘Think creatively, be eager to lean and respect your culture’.
Back in 1955 was when the NationalChildren’s Day was created. The United Nations across 40 countries worldwide decided that a day should be given to children where they get to celebrate being children and just have fun. Back then the National Children’s Day was on the first Monday of October.
