Ms. Tanaree Fungpinyoparb also known as ‘Nui’, Head Receptionist at the Father Ray Foundation recently received a ‘Model Youth to the Community’ award from Her Royal Highness Princess Ubol Ratana’s ‘Duang Pra Teep’ Foundation.

The award was presented by a representative from The Stock Exchange of Thailand Ms. Chanisa Jutiphat.

Mr. Mike Lancaster, Development officer at the Father Ray Foundation said, “Nui was born with no legs or arms. Her mother abandoned her when she was just one year old. However her father understood Nui and looked over her disabilities and admired her strength and courage to learn and encouraged her to be the best she could be. Nui is very important to the Father Ray Foundation. She is always happy and is very talented. She assists guests, volunteers and other employees at the foundation very well.”

Ms. Tanaree proudly said, “My father always told me that I am only disabled in the body, my heart is just like everybody else. He told me that I should be proud of who I am. I always keep in mind that I can achieve anything
just like others as long as my heart is willing.”

The Pattaya Times would like to congratulate Nui on recieving this award.
