Pattaya City recently celebrated its 31st anniversary as a municipality by paying respects to King Taksin's Memorial statue in front of the city hall as well as holding a small Buddhist ceremony for the statue of Mr. Parinya Chowaritumrong who donated 10 Rai of land that in part was used to build the city hall.



Pattaya City Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome led a team of officers from Pattaya City along with other government officials to pay respects to the statues at the Pattaya City hall in celebration for our 31st anniversary.

Pattaya was pronounced a city on November 29, 1978.
