BIGGEST EVER CHONBURI  FLOWER  FESTIVAL - Chonburi - Flower - Festival


A flowering and ornamental plants festival is to be held on 16-25 January at an area in front of the Chonburi City Hall. This event is bigger than any other flower festival held in past years and will have more contest activities than any other such event in Thailand, so it is sure to bring many tourists to Chonburi.



The purposes of  this  festival  are to connect businesses, plus the education  of  agriculturalists  and  government  sectors.  Other  aims  are to  support  the  producers  and  plant breeders in adjustments for equality in  domestic  and  oversea  markets. Further  objectives  include  support in  selling product and broaden domestic and overseas markets, and to maximize  student’s  experience  in preparation for choosing an agricultural job.

The Governor  of Chonburi   Mr. Surapol  Pongtadsirikul  stated  that The  Chonburi  Flowering And  Ornamental Plants Club and Chonburi Provincial  Administrative  Organization, are inviting all people to attend  this flowering and ornamental plants festival, otherwise known as the “3rd Of Prueksa Tawan – Oak” Among the scores of contests are presentations  for  single  multiple, tray and hanging container divisions for orchids, flowers, ferns, and fruit, plus  this will  also  include  rare  species of plants, sculptured kitchen gardens  and  even  Siam  Bonsai. There are competition grades for everyone from high school students up to professionals in the horticultural industry, plus a seminar in the layering of flowering and ornamental plants and flower  arrangement  in  containers, which is a very important part of the export industry.
