Move over Quad Core processors. Intel Corporation has a new desktop processors based on the company’s new micro architecture. If your computer has a Pentium 4, Duo Core or Quad Core processor, you will see an amazing difference in the i7.
According to local computer experts, the i7 allows four processors inside the chip to work directly to the triple line memory on a higher bus speed, allowing for much faster processing for video and graphics. It utilizes the DDR3 RAM (Random Access Memory).
These processors will feature Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology, also known as simultaneous multi threading, and are capable of handling eight software “threads” on four processor cores.
Each processor has hyper threading technology and this way the computer properties menu will show no less than eight processors installed on the computer running the i7 chip set.
The I7 uses the new socket 1366 and DDR 3 RAM so just forget about upgrading your old computer. If you want to keep up with the latest technology then you must buy an entirely new computer. However, on the bright side, your monitor, mouse and keyboard will still work.

Maybe the name i7 and the version Windows 7 is not a coincidence? The 920 version of the i7 runs at 2.66 megahertz and is about 11,100 Baht for the chip set only. The next higher version, the 940, is double the price and offers a speed of 2.9 megahertz.
