Police need traffic help

Police Lieutenant General Adul Saengsingkaew, Assistant Administrator of the National Police Force along with regional police met to discuss and draft measures to facilitate traffic for the most important event of the year, 14th ASEAN Summit, from 10-12 April at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort.



The regional police operation center has requested the general public to observe the following rules and regulations:      

 

From 4-12 April, Vehicles of all types will not be allowed to stop or park at the following designated areas:

 

■The left side of Sukhumvit Road from Nong Hyai Temple till the border limit of Pattaya.

■The left side of Sukhumvit Road from Soi Na Jomtien 2 till Soi Phothisarn.

■Both sides of North Pattaya Road

■Both sides of Thepprasit Road

■Both sides of Thappraya Road and Pratamnak Road

■Both sides of Second Road from Pattaya Klang intersection till Beach Road

■Both sides of South Pattaya Road from Beach Road till Wat Chaimongkol

 

Cars will only be allowed to run one-way from Thepprasit road through the Grand Condotel intersection to the Thappraya three-way intersection. The one-way route will also be established from the Grand Condotel intersection all the way along Jomtien Beach Road to Soi Chayapruek.

 

Cars must be parked on the right side of Jomtien Road. Cars can be parked or stopped at any time on the road leading from Grand Condotel to Soi Chayapruek however parking on the left is strictly prohibited      

 

Gas and chemical trucks are prohibited from operating on Sukhumvit, North Pattaya, Pattaya Klang, South Pattaya, Thappraya, Thepprasit, Pratamnak, Second, Third and Beach Roads during 6:00-22:00 hrs from 9-12 April.

 

The general public is requested to adhere to these rules to help facilitate traffic and maintain an orderly environment during the Summit period. The public is requested to report any suspicious looking vehicle, including cars and motorcycle or other potentially hazardous objects to the Pattaya Police Station (038 424 186) or the Regional Police (038 425 327) or
