Thai Premier League 2010 Latest Updates - Thai Premier League - Football - Sisaket FC - Chonburi Sharks - Chonburi FC - Wittaya Khunplome


Two teams of the Chonburi Football Association that are still in the Thai Premier League of 2010 are ready for a big change as they will spend nearly 40 million Baht to reach their goal.



The ‘Chonburi Sharks’ Football club has been the winner for two years in row now. As for ‘Dolphins of the White Sky’ Pattaya United, they will be bringing a coach who also coaches the national Thai football team to strengthen up the team. For the other three teams, ‘Police friends’, ‘Army Officer’ and ‘Sisaket’ all aim to survive in the Thai Premier League next season.

The suspense of the up coming Thai Premier League which will kick off in March 2010 is growing greater by the minute as Mr. Wittaya Khunplome, President of the Chonburi FC announced that there is a 40 million Baht budget to train the players to win the 2010 Thai Premier League. There have also been rumors spreading around about who will be the new coach to replace ‘Zeko’ Mr. Keiatisak Senamung who quit. It was also reported
that they have plans of adding new members to team without taking any of the existing players out.

As for ‘Dolphins of the White Sky’ Pattaya United, it was reported that Mr. Chatchai Pahonpheat will clear some family issues and will come to coach the team.

Let’s take a look at the how at other three teams are preparing. First lets look at the ‘Police friends’ club. With the strength of brains of the payers along with the new coach Police Major Chaiyong Kumplien it is believe that the team will be able to defeat competitors easily. They also have plans of expanding their existing fan club of 500 members. This year they will move from competing at the Klongjun Stadium to Thammasart University Stadium which can hold up to 20,000 people. It is said that they will try and get at least 20 million Baht in sponsorship

As for the first runner up team ‘Army Officer’, Mr. Kwan Rattanarangsi, the teams head coach said, “We need to strengthen the strikers but the most important fact that we need to focus on is making our club a corporation according the Thai Premier Leagues regulation before November 30, if we can not do that when we have no chance of competing at all.”

Sisaket FC, representing Esan moved themselves up to the third place of division 1. The standout factor about this team is that all of the players are originally from Esan. They have just recently changed their logo from ‘Dangerous Kupree’ to Esan Kupree’. A representative from the team said, “Though our players are originally from Esan, we will accept foreigner players who wish to play. We are now negotiating with sponsors. We are hoping to get at least five million Baht. This is pretty small compared to other teams. Never the less, we are still trying our best to get up to 20 million Baht.

Sixteen other teams that will compete in the 2010 Thai Premier League are Muang Thong United who was champion, Chonburi FC who was first runner up, Bangkok Glass, BEC Tero Sasana, Osotspa M-150 Saraburi, Thai Port, TOT Burirum, TTM Samut Sakhon, PEA, Samut Songkhram, Pattaya United, Rajnavy Rayong, Bangkok United, Police friends, Army Officer and Sisaket.
