Pattaya Players (Home of Pattaya's Professional Amateurs) is proud to announce its annual Christmas production entitled, ‘An Evening of Christmas One Acts’ on November 27-28.

This fantastic evening of yuletide-themed theater will consist of the three one-act plays: ‘Rollin’ in Dough in Mistletoe’ by Marietta Slater, ‘An Implausible Claus’ by Nikki Harmon and ‘World without Men’ by Philip Johnson. Pattaya Players veterans, Duane Hauch and Ray Lightbown, direct this three-forone night of Christmas frivolity.

‘Rollin in Dough in Mistletoe’ presents Christmas Eve in the Pattaya Sub-district of Mistletoe, but everyone is far from ‘Holly Jolly’. Rolland N. Dough is foreclosing on the entire town, which has everybody dreaming of a black Christmas! Will the townspeople be out in the cold, ‘Walkin’ in a winter wonderland’? Will the wicked, the most dastardly, the most evil, and the most despicable villain of all time finally win out this time? Come out and see as this clever Christmas melodrama rustles up laughter and silly fun by incorporating Christmas carol lyrics into its dialogue.

‘An Implausible Claus’ centers on the ‘The Ho Ho Hotline’, which has been installed in a retirement home so that children can talk to Santa or Mrs. Claus. One youngster, with the use of their home computer, has broken into the phone company's data banks to find the address of the hotline. However, instead of contacting Santa Claus, what they find is Aaron Lefkowitz. What follows is the precious time this unusual twosome spends together -an old man's lost imagination is rekindled and a unique humor bridges an 80-year gap.

‘World without Men’ showcases an avenging creator who has stricken the male sex from the face of the earth during Christmas. In this world without men, two whimsical old ladies bemoan their boring, unromantic universe. But the lovely granddaughter of one domineering matriarch, in her search through the forest for a groundhog, has unearthed the last surviving man, hidden away in a cave in suspended animation!”

There will be two evening performances starting at 6:00pm on Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28. Tickets are priced at 700 Baht for adults and 600 Baht for Children (under the age of 12) that includes an ‘all you can eat buffet’ dinner and the three one-act shows. All seating is general admission and takes place in an outdoor amphitheater. In case of severe weather, Sunday, November 29 will be used as a rain date. Tickets may be purchased by contacting any board member directly or by emailing pattayaplayers@gmail.com.
