The Pattaya Times, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Chonburi administration, and the leading hotel and tourist attractions have been selected to attend the Arabian Travel Mart 2009 (ATM) in Dubai from May 5-8 and then go to India to promote travel to Thailand.

The purpose of this trip is to allow Thailand to promote its tourism market to the major countries in Asia, India, Russia and other countries in the Middle East. TAT identifies the Arabian Travel Mart as one of the leading travel and tourism in the world and possibly the most import to Thailand. This event is aimed at opening new business potentials in the Middle East and the ‘pan-Arab’ region.

Tourism related business owners and business professionals from Pattaya, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket will all be attending this event to showcase Thailand’s diverse range of accommodation options, incredible tourist destinations, and other business opportunities.  There will be 40 countries represented at the ATM all vying for this highly-sought-after travel business.  All leading tour brokers will attend.

After the Arabian Travel Mart in Dubai, Thailand’s representatives will proceed to Mumbai, India and then on to New Deli to set up booths once again. This is under the leadership of the TAT India Director based in New Deli. The group will be promoting Thailand for nearly 13 days in hopes to regain Thailand’s image.
