Five Regions of Thailand Fair kicks off with ‘Color of the East Festival’ - Fair - Five Regions - Pattaya


Mr. Chumporn Silpaarcha, Minister of Tourism and Sport, officially opened the Five Regions of Thailand Fair with the 'Color of the East Festival' in hopes that it would help boost tourism in Pattaya. Mr. Kaseam Wattanakun attended the ceremony, Deputy Mayor of Chonburi, Mr. Aukkaphon Pruxsuwan, Vice President of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, as well as various government and private sector businesses of Pattaya.



Silaparcha stated, “The Tourism Authority of Thailand established the Five Regions of Thailand Fair as an event to help rejuvenate the level of tourism between provinces of Thailand in hopes that it will help stimulate cash flow within the country. We started with the eastern region first which was held on May 1-3 and consisted of contributions from Chonburi, Rayong, Juntaburi, Trat, Prajeenburi, and Sakaew. The next fair will be moved to Nakorn-Rachasima on May 22-24.”

 

Wattanakun added, “This event will surely help boost the Pattaya economy and put a positive image back to the city after the recent political scandal. It will help increase the income of small business owners as well as circulate money within the local area.”


'Color of the East Festival' Pattaya consisted of many activities, which included the display of tourist destinations and local products from all 76 provinces of Thailand. The Fair was lined up with booths from Beach Road Soi 4 in North Pattaya, all the way until the end of Beach Road in South Pattaya.
