Mr. Apichart Peudpun, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, officially inaugurated the seminar concerning the pollution levels and business operations in Pattaya.

Mr. Peudpun said, “There are an increasing number of new businesses in Pattaya which are affecting the environment and the living condition of the city. With new businesses forming, air and noise pollution are most likely to occur. We have received many complaints from the local people about this issue.”

“As a result, the Pattaya City Council decided to hold a seminar to educate business owners about the laws and regulations required for business establishments. We have invited an officer from the Public Health and Environment Association to be the honorable guest speaker. The seminar will teach business owners how to observe whether their business is causing noise, air or other pollution and how to reduce such pollution resulting from their establishment to make the lives of people in Pattaya better”, added Mr. Peudpun.

The pollution observation seminar also included guest speakers Mr. Chatchawan Chimtin from the Sanitation and Environmental Department, Mr. Jitti Yarnpunya, Warrant Officer First Class and Nuttapoom Satarakhoon, Head of the Disturbance Control Department who taught Pattaya business owners about the current problems and solutions of noise and air pollution resulting from their business as well as the laws and regulations they must follow.
