Y.W.C.A. Pattaya presents scholarship to 10 schools in Pattaya

Y.W.C.A. Pattaya, led by Mrs. Nittaya Patimasongkoh, recently handed out 1,800 baht each to 20 students in 10 schools in Pattaya to financially assist talented students in pursuing their education.



Mr. Walter Pickering, Mr. David Kerridge, and Mr held the presentation ceremony at Diana Garden Resort Pattaya. Graham Anderson from the Committee Member of Thais 4 Life Organization who contributed towards the scholarship.

Patimasongkoh said, “The scholarships have been sponsored by several kind-hearted people in and out of Pattaya in order to support and assist talented students who lack sufficient education funds. The donated money has been divided into 20 scholarships worth 1, 80 Baht each.”

 

Patimasongkoh added, “The Y.W.C.A., Khun Sophin Tepchak from the Diana Group and Khun Woraphan Sukhonthasit, Chairwoman of Sai Yai Hang Rak Project, also provided lunch and donated many useful items including eight MP3 players, two weighing apparatuses, two electronic hair shavers, 20 drums of drinking water, and a height measuring apparatus to Pra Maha Tai Redemptory School for the Blind. Khun Visa Chimdee also donated 4,000 baht and UHT Milk to the institute. The scholarship was Handed out under “The Warm Family 2009” project which we have been organizing continuously for many consecutive years.”
