STOCKING UP THE ESSENTIALS

STOCKING UP THE ESSENTIALS - Stock - Salad vegetables - Fruits - Nuts and Seeds - Breads & Tortillas - Potatoes - Onion - Herbs & Spices

One of the clever cook’s successes is a well-stacked larder. From the basics like eggs and milk, to more exotic items like re-fried beans, if you have a well-stocked pantry you will never be short of something to rustle up a tasty meal.

Of course, some of the items I keep may not be to your liking, but adapt where needed to suit your own tastes, also it never hurts to try something new.

STOCKING UP THE ESSENTIALS - Stock - Salad vegetables - Fruits - Nuts and Seeds - Breads & Tortillas - Potatoes - Onion - Herbs & Spices

This is a very brief basic list and you should stock up on Salad vegetables, fruit (fresh and dried) a range of nuts and seeds, a variety of breads and tortillas, potatoes, onions etc.

Herbs and Spices I will deal with another time, as the list is quite extensive.

Most of these items are to be found in Carrefour, Foodland, Best, Tops, Friendship, Big C, Tesco and Food Mart. However, check for the best prices.

Happy Shopping.
