Bangkok Bank offers ‘Step Plus’ with new fix deposit interest rate at 1.50%
Bangkok Bank has introduced ‘Step Plus’, a new fixed deposit account offering increasing interest rates, from 1.00 percent per annum to 1.50 percent per annum, over a period of 18 months. Interest will be paid every six months. Customers can enjoy the offer by opening an account with a minimum deposit of Baht 50,000 from now until July 20, 2009.
“The Step Plus fixed deposit account offers a new option for deposit customers seeking a return at rates higher than the normal market interest rates. The new deposit account offers interest rates in three steps starting from 1.00 percent for the first six months, 1.25 percent for the next six months and 1.50 percent for the final six months. The account will pay interest every six months throughout the maturity period,” said Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President and Metropolitan Consumer Banking Director Ruchanee Nopmuang,
“Customers interested in the Step Plus fixed deposit account can open an account at any Bangkok Bank branch from June 18 to July 20, 2009. The minimum deposit is 50,000 Baht and every subsequent deposit must be at least Baht 50, 000,” Mrs. Ruchanee continued.
“Bangkok Bank always studies the needs of every customer group and develops a variety of financial products and services to cater to the needs of each individual customer. The bank therefore has a variety of deposit products, such as fixed deposit accounts, the tax-free and interest- multiplying deposit account Sinmathaya Subthawee, and the Kwan Bualuang fixed deposit account which offers life insurance protection worth ten times the deposit amount at a special low insurance premium,” Mrs. Ruchanee said.
Meanwhile, Bangkok Bank is offering attractive rates of return from long-term savings, tax benefits and life insurance protection for bank assurance products in the Gain 1st series. The bank is also offering bonds and debentures making it easier for customers to invest in debt instrument markets and get better rates of return. Mutual funds are another option for customers to invest more easily in money and capital markets. Bangkok Bank has a variety of such funds available.
