POP Music Awards 2009 in Pattaya
The event consists of more than 100 various artists and bands from
Managing Director of Live TV Company, Mr. Goonpong Boonnark, explained that the idea of organizing the POP Music Awards 2009 – No Music No Life event originally came from the POP TV Channel. The POP Channel has been acting as a medium between artists and audiences, and it has been operating for three years. The channel has been receiving a favorable response from viewers due to the enormous number of 12 million faithful viewers around the globe. To express our gratitude and appreciation, the POP Channel decided to organize the Pop concert and POP Music Awards 2009 to give a perfect opportunity for viewers to enjoy a live performance by their favorite artists. The fans were the judges by selecting their own winner for each award category by sending an SMS to their first choice artist, which made all singers very proud. This was due largely to the fact that all votes came from their fans.
Mr. Goonpong added that 11 categories of awards would be presented to the artists who received the most votes from their fans. The award winners are 1. Pop Hit - Black List / K-OTIC 2. Pop Download – My friend, I am falling for you by KAMIKAZE 3. Pop Idol - K-OTIC 4. Pop International Artist – Lady Gaga 5. Pop Female – Parn Tanaporn 6. Pop Male– Tor Suksit 7. Pop Fresh – Mild 8. Pop Indy – Tattoo Color 9. Pop Performance – ETC 10. Pop Rock Artist – Silly Fools and the last award went to 11. Pop Group – Nape Club.
The highlight of the evening will be a live performance from the well-known boy band from
Mr. Gawin Suntagoon, Managing Director of Marketing of Tesco- Lotus Company and a representative from the Plus Shopping Mall, who are major event sponsors, told the press that their companies are very happy to be major event sponsors.
