Recently, Thai Ambassador to UAE received Deputy Governor, Permanent Secretary, and high ranking officials from Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), Amb. Karn Chiranond hosted a luncheon in honor of Mrs. Taya Teepsuwan, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Mr. Pongsak Sensam, Permanent Secretary for BMA, and high ranking officials from BMA at Benjarong restaurant, Dusit Thani Dubai on the occasion of their visit to the UAE to attend Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2009 which was participated by BMA for the second consecutive year.



During the luncheon, Ambassador expressed his appreciation and gratitude to BMA for its valuable assistance in terms of medical personnel to participate in the Embassy’s aid program that was cooperated by 4 other Thai Embassies in GCC countries in 2007. The program was sponsored by Foreign Missions Integrated Project (FMIP) budget of Ministry of Foreign Affairs with an objective of providing complimentary health services to Thai labor in the GCC countries.

An impressive outcome was realized with coverage of up to 3,544 laborers across the countries. In this connection, the Ambassador wished that similar generosity would be rendered to the future activities.
