Chonburi to be Model Province for Thailand’s Provincial Football League - Chonburi - Football League - AFC - Banglamung FC - VISION ASIA - THAILAND VISION


The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has chosen Chonburi as a model province to host Thailand’s Provincial Football League.



Chonburi’s eleven local football clubs will compete against each other in order to determine the best teams to play in Divisions 1 and 2. Banglamung District Chief Mr. Mongkol Dhamakittikhun has established Banglamung FC to participate in the project.

Mr. Dhamakittikhun said thatthe Asian Football Confederation has recently launched ‘VISION ASIA’, which aims to improve the football community in Asia. The project is coordinated with the Thailand Football Confederation which has established an affiliated project called ‘THAILAND VISION.’ Both confederations have designated that every province in Thailand will hold internal football leagues in order to
determine each province’s best teams to participate in the higher leagues. As the model province for the competition, Chonburi’s competition will be known as the ‘Chonburi Project.’

Banglamung recently introduced its own league, the Banglamung FC, to the public.

At the end of the season, the best eight teams will qualify to take part in Division 1, while the rest will go to Division 2.
