Charity Tennis for Father Ray Foundation
Thirty-two players competed in the singles event and 16 players in the doubles. The winners received a trophy from Pattaya Mayor Mr. Itthipol Kunplome. Prizes valued at up to 10,000 baht were awarded to the winners of each category. The competition, which took place over two days, was full of suspense and fun. Heavy rains did not stop the players from competing.
Mr. Tom Marshall, from Iceland, was the singles winner. First runner up was Mr. Somphong Koh from Bangkok.
Winners in the men’s doubles competition were Khun Phuboon Pimpa and Khun Akaraded Torprasert. First runners up were Khun Phongsuk also known as ‘Pe Nu’ and Khun Anusorn also known as ‘Kru Tia’ (‘Kru’ means teacher).
The awards were presented by Director of the Tennis Association Pattaya, Mr. Tachaphong Katiwanich; Mr. Richard E. Smith, President of the Pattaya City Expats Club and Khun Natee Sukpiroch, Manager of the Jomtien Condotel and Village.
