Thousands of people in the Tiffany theater as well as millions were watching at home. Pattaya Times newspaper was the first and only local media to have been provided the privilege to interview the newly crowned Miss International Queen 2009.

The interview took place at the Woodlands Hotel’s coffee shop and restaurant with Ai's two personal assistants, Ohtsuburai Taeko from the Sun Entertainment Co., Ltd, and the President of REMORA Co., Inc. Mr. Ken-Ichi Hasegawa of Japan. Ai appeared in a casual dark blue summer dress and asked the waiter for icedtea with no sugar.

Pattaya Times: Congratulations! How was last night, could you sleep at all?
Ai:
I couldn’t sleep last night because I was so excited with the unbelievable miracle that happened to me last night. I didn’t expect to come this far because all contestants especially the Thais are very beautiful and I thought all judges would vote a Thai the winner.

PT: Well, you are also very beautiful too, and especially lovely and adorable.

Ai: Thank you very much (with big friendly and adorable sincere smile)

PT: So, what’s your agenda and what are you required to do from now on after being titled Miss International Queen 2009.

Ai: First of all, I have to go back to Japan first in order to organise my life and prepare myself for missions appointed to me by the Miss International Queen management.

PT: Would you mind telling us on what’s your profession in Japan?

Ai: I am currently a movie and TV actress, Product Ambassador for L’Oreal Cosmetics,a singer, and am running my own restaurant.

PT: I am interviewing a Japanese movie star, singer, and brand ambassador for the world's most well-known cosmetic company. It’s  such a great honor for me. I will need to have your autograph and take pictures with you after we finish this interview if you allow me ?

Ai: Sure, you are certainly welcome and check this out! (she pulls out a CD from her handbag and smiles again) I have prepared a copy of my own commercial song album with my autograph specially for you. Please don’t forget to support and promote my song, OK?

PT:
Sure, I will do so. So, would you mind If I ask you some personal questions and I will totally understand if you don’t feel like you want to answer any uncomfortable questions?

Ai: No problems at all,

PT: Excuse me, how old are you now?

Ai: I am 37 years old

PT: Are you kidding me? Come on, you are not.

Ai: (big laugh) I am not kidding you at all. I am thirty-seven years old now.

PT: You look 20 or 22 years old. How do you keep yourself in such a good shape and how do you take care and maintain your youthful looks. Do you have any special tips?

Ai:The key is to eat nutritious foods especially fresh fruit, rest and sleep enough, and the most important thing is to keep your face clean after wearing make up all day. Never leave the skin dry and use moisturizing products regularly. It is great for the skin to do a skin spa at home or use a spa service at least once a week.

PT: When did you start to feel different?

Ai: I have felt different for as long as I can remember, probably since I was about 3 or 4 years old.

PT: Did you feel like a woman trapped in a man’s body?

Ai: Yes, sometimes.

PT: How were you accepted by your family, friends, and community?

Ai: During my teenage years people often rejected me and my mother was unable to accept that her son was really a girl for a long time, but finally she accept as long as I am a good guy or girl from her perspective.

PT: Do you still have your male sexual organ or have you completely changed to a woman?

Ai: I had them completely changed since I was 18, and it’s been 19 years since then.

PT: Do you have a significant other and what kind the man you dream of?

Ai: Yes, I used to have a boyfriend,we lived together for years but we broke up 4 years ago. I like a romance, strong muscles and a good natured guy. The most important thing for a partner is to understand my sexual status.

PT: Do you live full time as transgender or only in a safe environment where you are fully accepted?

Ai: I live full time as a woman, everywhere, all the time, with everyone.

PT: What do you think about Pattaya City and Thailand?

Ai: Pattaya is a very beautiful resort city with thousands of entertainment venues. It’s a city of fun, and another reason I like Pattaya is because it’s the city where the Tiffany Theater is located.

PT: How long have you been competing in beauty pageant contests and is the Miss International Queen 2009 contest your first contest?

Ai: Not quite long, this is my 2nd time in beauty pageant contest, and my first time was back 2 years ago for Miss International Queen 2007.

PT: How big is the Miss International Queen contest from your perspective?

Ai: I would consider this contest as the world’s biggest stage.

PT: What is Thailand from a Japanese perspective?

Ai: Thailand in my and from other Japanese people's perspective is a beautiful country with many beautiful cultures and places to visit with very friendly people, traditional and delicious food. Thai people are so friendly, warm, humble, and helpful. I love Thailand and Thai people.

PT: With a political perspective, have you ever wanted to have your title changed to Miss or Mistress?

Ai: No, I have not because I was born to as a boy by nature and nobody can change stuff like this. But, in the future, I would probably change my mind if I found some guy who I really love and want to marry.

PT: Anything else you want to add or suggest younger ones who intend to follow your journey.

Ai: I would like to suggest to younger ones who intend to follow my journey and other normal ones to not give up on whatever you want to do. Keep working hard and pay attention on everything you do and you will finally succeed.
