Government orders bars, other institutions to prevent viruses
Banglamung District has recently issued six preventive measures specifically targeting entertaining establishment workers, aimed at reducing chances of getting the deadly 2009 flu while Chonburi Governor requested the people to strictly hold to his hygienic concept of “Eating Hot, Using Central Spoon, and Washing Hands.”
Banglamung District Chief Mr. Mongkol Dhamakittikul recently revealed that the 2009 Flu’s six preventive measures by Banglamung administration has been officially issued and is effective now especially for those who working in the entertainment venues. The enforcement will be effective all over the entire Banglamung District including entertainment venues, every educational institution, Banglamung area jails and detention centers, military camps and other vocational venues, which are all potentially at risk.
Banglamung District Chief Mongkol informed all people to strictly observe the rules in order to stay free from the H1N1 flu and other dangerous germs. The six preventive measures are:
Business owners should regularly examine all employees and have any employee suspected of having signs of the flu to immediately suspend their job at least 7 days.
Business owners should provide hand-washing sinks with soap at all necessary locations where people may transfer germs from objects or other people.
Business owners must instruct all employees to keep their hands clean and avoid scratching their eyes, touching their face or putting any fingers in their nose because these behaviors are risky in spreading germs.
Entertainment venues’ owners should regularly clean the frequently touched spots such as doorknobs, ladder bars, poles, tables, chairs, escalators, elevators, light switches and walls.
Entertainment venues should be completely opened after normal service hours in order for it to be ventilated and exposed to sunlight.
Drinking and tableware such as glasses, dishes, plates, spoons, forks should be used individually and not shared with others without first washing.
Chonburi Governor Mr. Senee Chittakasem recently stated to the Pattaya Times, “The 2009 Flu has severely affected Chonburi province in all aspects. Everyone, therefore, needs to be cooperating in giving each other help to tackle the human to human transmission of this deadly virus strain.”

“Three concepts I would like to remind all people are to “Consume cooked and hot foods, using serving spoons, and washing hand regularly. Secondly, any entertainment or service centers suspected or detected to be an epidemic source shall be immediately closed for at least 90 days. And the last one is to provide a call center as well as a mobile epidemic control team in each community.”
Governor Senee continued to add, “The 2009 Flu is not as bad as many people thought because it is treatable and should not create panic. However, government officials and local specialist have examined some of the suspected entertainment venues located behind Big C
