Guinness Book is Screaming Contest held in Pattaya
The contest was honored and witnessed by Pattaya Deputy Mayor Mr. Ronnakit Ekasingh, Royal Garden General Manager Mrs. Ing-Ong Somprasong as the host’s representative. There were 1500 competitors attempting to out scream whilst the brave audience kept their distance from the ear splitting sounds. The contestants were judged by their scream’s volume in decibel measurement sound device showing on a large screen for the audiences to witness. The Guinness World Record representatives also witnessed the contest.

Ripley’s Pattaya and
The winner was a Russian contestant, 33, Sergey Savelyey with his 116.8 decibels. He revealed to the Pattaya Times reporter that he only joined the competition for fun and did not expect to win.

The winner, Mr. Sergy Savelyey from Russian, receives 30,000 Baht.
However, even though Savelyey unable to break the world record, still he was happy as he was awarded 30,000-baht cash. The second loudest screamer was Mr. Itthipol Seemai, 30, with 114.9 decibels, and the third one was Miss Taunporn Leungsurong, 21, at 112.8 decibels.
The additional award for the best acting screamer went to Mr. Wisan Supakit wanitchoke, 22, with 111.2 decibels.

The contest organizer and Ripley’s Pattaya General Manger Somporn Narksuetrong said, “Unfortunately, the winner was unable to break the world record in this contest, but we promise to keep holding such a event like this every year in order to achieve the goal one day.”
