Exhibition campaigns set to increase exports

The Ministry of Commerce planned to promote exports to neighboring countries Cambodia, Laos, Burma and Vietnam this year in expecting to increase sales by 10 percent.



Deputy Commerce Minister Alongkorn Pollboot recently revealed this matter, he said, “Over the first five months this year, exports transactions to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam has dropped up to 21 per cent.”

 

“In order to reverse the situation, the ministry planned an active export promotion campaign,” said Pollaboot “This would include the organizing trade exhibitions, sales promotions in shopping centers. Moreover, Thai business will be discussed on its trade deals and joint investments.”

 

He continued to reveal that the ministry had organized four trade exhibitions in Cambodia featuring high quality agricultural, fashion and food products. These exhibition projects are expected to increase exports to the above stated neighboring countries at least 10% or 400 billion baht.
