Have you ever heard of the Chonburi Provincial Industry Commission?

Chances are you have not, which is exactly why it recently embarked on a project to raise its profile around the province.

It paid a visit to Laem Chabang Commercial Port last week, led by Mr. Prayod Atthatorn, chairman of the commission. The project aims to create better understanding between the commission and business entrepreneurs, as it is felt the commission is not yet well known enough by many entrepreneurs.

At the event, entrepreneurs were educated about their legal responsibilities and told of the commission's role and status. The visit encouraged entrepreneurs to cooperate with the commission and to raise its profile.

Those who were present agreed there was a great need to slow down the growing rate of unemployment and a general agreement of understanding was signed by the Labor Department, Industry Commission, companies and limited partners.
