Asian Bodybuilding Contest - Asian - Bodybuilding - Fitness - Junior - Men - Woman - Contest - Pattaya - Alangkarn Theatre

Pattaya’s Alangkarn Theatre hosted the 2009 Multi Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships from August 11-17. There were 9 categories divided into 38 classifications, in the event, that included Junior’s, Men’s and Women’s bodybuilding categories. Over 300 bodybuilders from 30 countries competed in the event including 42 Thais.

It gave new Thai bodybuilders the chance to participate in an international bodybuilding contest and observe the competition as a guide to future upcoming events. These include the 2nd Oman Asian Beach 2010, the upcoming 26th Asian Games to be held in Indonesia and the World Bodybuilder Championship 2010. It also provided experience to Thai judges that will help them to be accepted as international judges.

General Yotthasak Sasiprapa, chief of the Thailand Olympic Committee, said that the event marked the 50th anniversary of the Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Association
