Thai Premier League 2009 latest updates - FC - Muang Thong United - Thai Premier League - Nattapong Cheichiew - Chonburi - Sriracha - Zone


Chonburi FC, ever though Muang Thong United has defeated it during the last match, is the leading team expected to be the champion in the Thai Premier League, while Pattaya United has done a better job and was able to be in safe-zone. Sriracha FC is still being ranked and was unable to release itself from the danger zone.



The previous match between Chonburi FC and the former champion, Electricity, was held on Saturday, 29 August, at the Sirindhorn Field. Chonburi played a good match and overwhelming defeated Electric FC 3-0, holding 46 points; and was ranked as the leading team for just a day before the Muang Thong United replaced them the next day, August 30.

 

Pattaya United, the hosting team, on Sunday, August 30, at Nongprue Field, competed against Bangkok United. Pattaya expected to collect another 3 important points from this match. Therefore, every player did his best, resulting in a satisfactory outcome for Pattaya United, which won over Bangkok United, 2-0. Sompob Ninwong and Paisarn Phoena, minutes 53, and 75, respectively scored goals. Pattaya was able to gain another three points and was ranked eight in the table.

 

Pattaya United Coach, Jadet Meelarb, revealed that the first half was pretty difficult because the opponent’s teamwork was very good. However, Pattaya also played a good match …It was a great success for Pattaya people because Pattaya United’s work was not too bad.

 

The Blue Marine “Sriracha FC”, the second last team in the table, on August 30, competed against Muang Thong United, which expected to gain three points.
