Talented players will be selected as Marine representatives to participate in the Internal Naval Games 2009 to be held soon. They were selected from recent competitions.
The Royal Thai Marine Corps’ Internal Games 2009 was recently held at the Prince Chumbhorn Soccer Field, located in Sattahip district. Vice Admiral Suwit Tararoop, Commander, chaired a ceremony of the Royal Thai Marine Corps Department, and was witnessed by high-ranking officers, including naval employees.
The ceremony featured many colorful performances, highlighted by a parachuting demonstration from naval aircraft, alighting on the soccer field. Various naval departments including the Marine Command Center, Marine Recruit Center, Military Unit 1, Military Department, Artillery Field Regiment, Marine Back-up Department and the Marine Patrol Department participated in the competition.
Traditional Sports of four-legged race is also being scheduled in the games.
Vice Admiral Suwit Tararoop revealed that the Marine Command Department conducted the internal Games 2009 under the theme of “Soccer Fans 2009.” The event, which was divided into 18 sports categories, was aimed to provide good health and to create unity among and between organizations.
