Central Festival Pattaya Beach holds Elvis Presley week

Fans of Elvis, in Pattaya, were recently entertained when Central Festival Pattaya Beach held its Elvis Presley Week.
The entire inside area was decorated and set up with a 60's theme. Many rare and collectable Elvis CDs were offered for sale, as well as, the Elvis Unlimited Albums, which were displayed by some of

Central Festival General Manager, Dr. Nattakit Tungpoonsintana, stated that the event’s objective was to encourage Pattaya tourism. The Central Group management decided to hold this musical celebration in August, as August is the time in which people around the world celebrate the life of their musical idol, Elvis Presley, who sadly passed away back in August 1977, leaving a legacy of many everlasting hits.

Mr. Vasu Saengsingkaew, a well-known TV producer and rock and roll fan, stated proudly, that Elvis Presley was one of the world’s most talented artists; combining singing, entertaining and acting. Saengsingkaew, who idolized Elvis, also brought along his own Elvis collection; including a Gibson J 200 Signature Guitar, and a pick guitar used by Elvis during the years, 1969 – 1977. There are only 300 pieces in the world, identical to the one Elvis used while he was alive. Moreover, Saengsingkaew has also brought the original poster from the January 21, 1956 Elvis Concert, held at the Apollo Theatre, when Elvis was at the apex of his career.
