Sea turtles help ecosystem - Veerawat Khakhay - Ecosystem - Sea Turtles

An environmental preservation project to release sea turtles was recently conducted at Koh Larn’s Samae beach aimed at the balancing and preservation of sea turtles. The honorable Pattaya Deputy Mayor Veerawat Khakhay, Sriracha, attended the event Deputy Major Thanee Rattananon, as well as many students and representatives from relevant organizations.

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Kahkay revealed this was the eighth sea turtle release project under the cooperation of Pattaya and Sriracha, along with the private sector. This is in order to preserve and maintain sea turtles and to balance the underwater ecosystem.

In addition, the project also aimed to instill a good sense of caring for sea turtles in students and the general population, as the number of sea turtle is currently decreasing dramatically.

Therefore, the government has provided this creative activity and has been organizing this event continuously for eight consecutive years.

Furthermore, this group of people, in order to keep it in good condition and attract tourists to visit it while educating students to preserve and appreciate Thailand’s Eastern coast, cleaned up Samae beach.
