Bangkok Bank is now offering Internet banking for its foreign currency deposit (FCD) account holders. They’re the first and only bank to offer this 24 hour service.

It has expanded the currencies accepted to include the Danish Krona (DKK), Norwegian Krona (NOK), Swedish Krona (SEK) and the New Zealand Dollar (NZD). This is in addition to the nine other currencies already accepted: US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), British Pound (GBP), Hong Kong Dollar (KHD), Singapore Dollar (SGD), Swiss Franc (CHF), Australian Dollar (AUD), Canadian Dollar (CAD) and Japanese Yen (JPY).

Mr. Thanit Sirichote, Senior Vice President and Manager of Global Payment Services Department said, “With the new ‘Bualuang iBanking,’ our FCD customers can now make transactions online, check their account balances, view their transaction histories for the last two months, and transfer money from their FCD accounts to their baht deposit accounts.”

“All of this can be done 24 hours a day, seven days a week from anywhere in the world,” added Mr. Sirichote.

The new FCD account service is suitable for people who have foreign currencies or receive money from overseas. Customers, who open FCD accounts under the ‘Bualuang iBanking’ service through December 30, 2009 in amounts of USD 5,000 or the equivalent in other currencies, will be exempt from the deposit and the account maintenance fees. In addition, they will receive a multi-purpose i- Board clock with their first ‘Bualuang iBanking’ money transfer.

You can open a ‘Bualuang iBanking’ FCD account at any Bangkok Bank branch that offers FCD account services. For more information, call 1333 or visit the web site at www. bangkokbank.com.
