PSC golf from The Bunker Bar
Wednesday, October 14 Pattana
No rain today and our last game at Pattana at the fantastic low season price of 730 Baht for green fee and caddy fee. The course was a bit soggy in places and the green on C course had recently been sanded but still played pretty well. In a single
flight a count back decided the winner, Reg Smart edging out Rab on the back nine. Another count back was needed for third place too with Geoff Parker beating Mashi. Results:
1st Reg Smart (hcp 26) 35 pts
2nd Rab McDonald (hcp 10) 35 pts
3rd Geoff Parker (hcp 17) 34 pts
Near Pin Winners
– Reg won a near pin prize too as did Geoff and Tony Robbins won the other two.Monday, October 12 Green Valley
After heavy overnight rain and
flooding in many parts of the region the morning arrived with a constant drizzle with the golfer’s worrying if they would get a round in or not. After some debate we decided to give it a go and we were rewarded for our gamble. There was no rain when we arrived and the condition of the course much improved since our last visit with the sand having been washed off the course by the recent rains. In a singl flight Frank Dante had the best round winning with 40 points, Dave Dolle had a successful return to The Bunker taking second place. Tony Duthie beat Paul Smith on a count back to nick third spot. Results:
1st Frank Dante (hcp 13) 40 pts
2nd Dave Dolle (hcp 11) 38 pts
3rd Tony Duthie (hcp 20) 36 pts
4th Paul Smith (hcp 4) 36 pts
Near pin winners
– Only three were hit, Paul Smith, Tony Duthie and Chinese golfer Weng Tak Wu took the prizes.Categories
