Pattaya’s Vegetarian Festival begins
Another important celebration for Chinese people around the world as well as Thailand known as Vegetarian Festival was recently opened officially in Pattaya and was featured by beautifully decorated Chinese-style parades. The opening highlight was the cooking and offering of fried rice which has been sacred according to Chinese religious belief for the 4,999 people attending.
Pattaya’s Vegetarian Festival was recently opened officially at the Naklua’s Sawang Boriboon Foundation, chaired by Pattaya Mayor Itthipol Khunplome and many executive local and provincial politicians including former minister of Tourism and Sports Authority Sonthaya Khunplome, former Chonburi Member of Paliament Charnyuth Hengtrakul, and Sawang Borinboon Foundation Chairman Visith Chawalitnitidharma. The opening started with a religious ceremony in the morning before the holding of the parades in the afternoon.

World renown dragon dance show was also performed that day.
The Naklua’s Sawang Boriboon Foundation was decorated beautifully in Chinese style featuring traditional beliefs and coloured by hundreds of different lamps.
Tourists and residents are strongly recommended to experience the festival at Sawang Boriboon Foundation until October 27.
